Randi Du Bois
and Reno Taini started Pro-Action Associates out of their attic
in Colma, California in 1977, long before the term "Silicon Valley" was
invented, and before the technology revolution began. Their vision was
to "create a safe and dynamic learning experience for individuals and
groups, and to support them in translating that experience into healthier
and more productive relationships, communities and businesses." They are
both nationally and internationally recognized leaders, pioneers, and
practitioners in the fields of training and development, education, business,
and community development. They were instrumental in the inception of
the training field now commonly recognized as "experiential learning",
or "learning by doing" (Adventure Learning).
