Return The Wild Gentle Ones; A Turtle Island Odyssey

Randi Du Bois and Reno Taini

Randi Du Bois and Reno Taini started Pro-Action Associates out of their attic in Colma, California in 1977, long before the term "Silicon Valley" was invented, and before the technology revolution began. Their vision was to "create a safe and dynamic learning experience for individuals and groups, and to support them in translating that experience into healthier and more productive relationships, communities and businesses." They are both nationally and internationally recognized leaders, pioneers, and practitioners in the fields of training and development, education, business, and community development. They were instrumental in the inception of the training field now commonly recognized as "experiential learning", or "learning by doing" (Adventure Learning).

Dr. Reno Taini was recognized as Teacher of the Year in 1982 by the state of California, Practitioner of the Year in 1990 by the Association of Experiential Educators, and featured in numerous magazines and newspapers for his "extraordinary efforts in the field of personal and team development". He has been called upon by the U.S. State Department and United Nations to provide intervention and group support skills to Vietnam Veterans, Southeast Asian refugees, and Albanian refugees. He is also a part time African Safari guide, corporate trainer and facilitator, Outward Bound Trustee, YMCA Board Member, as well as a full time educator. A motion picture documentary film, "Reno's Kids", has been produced as an expose of his efforts with youth at risk. (To order your copy, send email to Reno@PAATeams.com.)
